The Left constantly cries about American imperialism and anti-Muslim policy.

What about the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. After the Soviet invasion, Khandahar the second largest city, which had a population of 200,000 was reduced to a mere 25,000 people.

The Soviet brutality kille atleast 1 million Afghans, disabled 4.2 million and displaced 2 million, while 5 million fled the country.

What do Indian communists say about that?

It has now become a fashion to talk and to abuse Muslims. Nobody knows in India, in general that what USSR did in Afghanistan because India was in good book of USSR, so media failed to project their illegal aggression, like they are projecting in case of Taliban. If Taliban kills, even a Cat or a Dog, the whole media would project it as a danger to the entire humanity.

One more thing, I could not understand that who is supporting Taliban, how they are getting advance training and arms to face the entire NATO forces since last many years, though they are not educated enough. In my view, the target of West is some thing else and they are trying to achieve the same with the help of Taliban.

The "left" (not just the left, but all thinking people) understand that there is more than one kind of Muslim.



As there were violent Christians that committed the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Holocaust, slavery in America and Europe, clinic bombings (terrorist in its own right), every war in Europe since the 4th century and every war in America since white men found it existed. Yet we also know that there are plenty of peaceful Christians who do not condone this violence and do follow the peaceful ways of Jesus.





Well, the same is true of Islam. Yes, there are violent ones. But Liberals do not appease them. What Liberals do is try to work with the peaceful ones who do follow the words of Jesus and Mohammed, so that we can gain their help in the fight against extremist Islam.







The left does not cry about American imperialism. They cry out about Republican arrogance that believes that whatever America does, it is right because it is America doing it. That America can torture, and while it is wrong if Saddam Hussein does it, it is perfectly morally acceptable and supported by God Himself if we do it.



God's morality is set. God does not care about what America thinks is right and wrong, He cares about what HE thinks is right and wrong. If America goes against it, we are in the wrong. It is that simple.



Republicans insist that whatever they do is what "America" does, even though only they support it. They then insist that America is always right because we must have God behind us solely because we are America. This logic is both arrogant and false. God does not follow us, we follow Him.



And what Jesus taught is love for our fellow brothers and sisters.
