Why did OWS get violently crushed by the state, while the Tea Party movement didn't?

Could it be that, despite rhetoric, the interests of the political class are much closer to the Tea Party movement's ideals than OWS's ideals?

4000+ arrests many for drugs and violent actions, they "occupied" public areas, That means they were disruptive, crapping, public sex, and general obnoxious behavior.

TEA rallies have permits, they come they leave, THEY PICK UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

there is NO comparison in terms of their behavior.

I have been to two TEA rallies and two OWS occupations, there is, NO comparison,

Just because you see only what you want to see.

OWS was funded by big labor, Geroge Soros and ACORN

OWS got crushed by democrats after many months of protesting and abuse and criminal activity.

There is no comparing true TEA Party grass roots campaigning without violence to Occupy Wall Street bullying and thugs, polluting and hurting Americans.

The purpose of OWS was to remove conservatives from politics.

The purpose of the TEA Party is to stop the deficit spending and pay off the debt.

The TEA Party members NEVER broke any laws.

OWS or Tea Party which group had to setup a Rape Tent to help those that were Raped at their gatherings?

OWS was against the "Fat Cats" on wall street, well the Treasury should stop buying 90 Billion in bonds per month, because that is only causing the rich to get richer. And those people are Dems as well as Reps. As for the Billionaire Koch's I guess you have no problem with the Billionaires- Gates, Buffett, Steyer, Soros, Bloomberg and their funding..

Facts EXTREMELY OBVIOUS to roughly 100% of the fully human:

> OWS was not violently crushed. It was adoringly accommodated.

> In the few cases where they were REMOTELY "crushed" they had INITIATED VIOLENT ATTACKS against police.

> In the couple cases where they were annoyed with irritants, it was Democrat-owned cops who did it.

> OWS was a long non-stop crime-fest from start to finish and yet almost no one was arrested.

> Each and every TEA event went through due process to have access to the venue and left it cleaner and in better repair than it was when they got there.

> Many OWS sites are STILL unusable due to the wanton destruction of the grounds. Countless "green-spaces" are now "brown-spaces" for the foreseeable future.

Because the Tea Party rallies were one day events. OWS was around for months.

Occupy Wall Street was fabricated by the media, so that no one had a real objective. They just had a thousand different people with vague ideas that "Wall street bad! Politics and other Big stuff!" and they all ran out and joined the herd, without any clear point. When you asked a dozen different people what they wanted, you got a dozen different answers and half were so vague that there was no "thing" to be done to satisfy it.

The Tea Party is really just a off shoot of one of the big parties, so it's really not a "force", just a label given to some regular politics.

Also, there really wasn't violence. A few people got pepper sprayed, maybe a few security forces whacked people because they're jerks without proper training. When you consider other countries simply gun down protestors, "forcibly removing" people who SHOULD have moved or kept the place cleaned up is a petty distinction.

OWS went on for 18 months until everybody found cheaper weed elsewhere. The tea party has been harassed by the IRS and all the rest of the government.

First two misunderstood your question.

The answer is the Tea Party folks didn't break the law and we cleaned up after ourselves.

But like others here point out, that didn't stop this administration from harassing us via the IRS thugs!

OWS was allowed to camp out for weeks in public parks. It cost millions to clean up the mess they left.

TEA party people went home to their own houses, and took their trash with them.

Vastly different behaviors. Occupiers were camping out and defecating all over public property for weeks on end. Tea people waved a few homemade signs and went home every day without making a mess. What even were OWS Ideals? Nobody has been able to coherently articulate them.
I'm blunt, get over it

Or it could be that the tea party followed all applicable laws, while OWS did not.

And by "crushed" here you mean "not given large checks by oil men to act as their populist mouthpieces."
