Should those Confederate statues be replaced with statues honoring the Northern soldiers who gave their lives to defeat them?

I think that is a brilliant idea.
There's been talk of putting Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill soon. So, you can start with a statue to her. .....to replace the Confederate fools they just took down.

We have monuments and memorials to Vietnam, Korea, and the two current wars. We have monuments and memorials for American Indians.
We consistently "honor losers".

We should learn from our history, not forget our history by tearing down statues

I have an idea! Let's focus on people who have built each local community and made life better for all its citizens. Perhaps, we could erect monuments to those people rather than obsess about a war fought over 150 years ago and start looking to the future. Learn about the past, yes, but let's not worship it.

We would destroy them quicker than you could stamp them out.
Try to put more some up and they'll bury more of you.

Here's an idea -- honor the slaves. Other countries that abolished slavery built statues of slaves, not their f#cking slave masters.

I live in the north. There are grave yards full of young men who fought in the civil war on the Union side. It's sad.

Honoring losers has been historically very popular in the American South.. and remains so to this day.

No, they should be replaced with statues honoring people who invented Parcheesi and other silly board games!...(leave the Southerners their heroes, morons!)
