The current available records indicate that America has at least a population of 307,006,550; so that would mean at least over half of this number 153,503,275 of people, would support the Tea Party.

These surveys ask straightforward and almost identical questions – do you consider yourself a supporter of the Tea Party movement, or not? Their results, though, are strikingly different: In an AP/GfK poll, 31 percent of Americans identify themselves as Tea Party supporters. In a CBS/NYT poll it’s 18 percent.

Either way they are far from a majority. They get publicity far in excess of their numbers or positive influence. The more we see of them the less we want to join them.

Because OWS is easy to misread. One can imprint any opinion one wants on them since they don't have any concrete message or proposals. It's the same reason Obama won't actually propose any plans to solve the unfunded liabilities of SS or Medicare other than platitiudes, but rather just sits back and snipes at Republican proposals. When you actually write doesn real proposals you have to deal with messy realities and tradeoffs.

I doubt four year olds and non english speakers have the first f*cking clue about what is going on nor do they care.

So there is a few million cut out of the running.

Prisons ,nursing homes, and long term disability housing residents probably don't give a rat's fat @ss one way or another either.

Should I continue?

How many people total voted in the last election? Maybe 1/3 of the total population if that.

See the problems anybody trying to quantify their stance through percentages of popular support have?

Why did the OWS goosestepper claim to comprise 99% of the population when their numbers were really miniscule and the vast majority fo America hated their totalitarian guts?

Because poll after poll shows in excess of 50% (a majority) does support them

It helps that no one is there to argue the point. Seriously ... WHO takes the TPM seriously? No one! As far as I know they are only on the East Coast. I hven't seen any signs of them in California. We HANG traitors in this state ... unless they want to vote the Marijuana Law in and then ANYONE is welcome.

But I do enjoy a nice cup of Earl Grey with one saccharin and some half & half, please ... and if you find a nice crumpet that would be off the hook.

Because they're nuts. They call Obama a fascist and a communist without knowing what those terms mean. They say government is running amok without the people's approval dispite the fact that the health care bill based in a democratic election, by representatives who were elected democratically, and sign into law by a president who was democratically elected.

They're nuts. They're butthurt that they keep losing. They think they're still the majority, when in fact they are a fringe group.

Not really sure how that is possible, given the fact that BHO was voted in by 52% of the population. Which would have to mean that even if they got every one who did not support his presidency to support him , that would only account for 48% of the population.

BUT, that 48% is further split between Moderates & Radicals, so where they come up with the 'majority'? I dont know?

According to Rasmussen, 24% of Americans identify with the Tea Party. That's a larger percentage than Americans who identify with liberalism.

Don't care what a slanted 0bamanedia NYT or AP poll says..

We'll revisit the subject in November... Be sure to bring crow for lunch and humble pie for dessert...

They are nothing but Republicans, only louder and dumber. So they think because they are louder, people are listening.

well, then. since poll results differ even when asked nearly identical questions, YOU can't prove the majority of Americans DON'T support Tea Party principles.

right? RIGHT?

besides, the only poll that really counts is the one on election day in Nov. so, we shall see, eh?
