Why do republicans enjoy paying higher prices for things?

Everywhere I go I see republicans declare we shouldn't regulate big business. that we should let the market regulate things. so is that why my cable tv bill is so high? We allow bug business to regulate itself. So tell me why republicans like to pay higher prices for things?

They also enjoy being paid 40% less because they oppose unions.

So if government would regulate cable tv and set a price on service do you think anyone would supply you with cable without making a profit? Do you realize how many people earn a living and feed their families by working everyday supplying you with a service as amazing as that. Markets set price by competition. When cable gets to high people move to the dish, so cable drops prices or adds a better service, than dish does the same. This is how the free market has created modern civilization as we know it.

Well republicans enjoy paying higher prices because they are rich. I mean not every republican is rich but they either have money or they are rich. No that is not the reason why your cable TV is so high. Cable prices depend on what you want in your cable service. Every while they raise their prices which is dumb by them because they are making dish network and directv win more customers since cable provide less channels for a higher prices

First of all, you can choose to purchase or not purchase cable. Second, cable has enjoyed monopoly status in most communities for many years, SUPPORTED BY STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.

What a business charges for its services is none of anyone's concern except the buyer and seller. If the buyer doesn't like it, he can do business elsewhere. If enough people do that, the business will lower its price.

They also like paying much more for prescription drugs. Americans pay way more for the exact same drugs that those same companies sell for much less in just about every other modern country. And the only reason they sell for so much more in the US is because the market has little or no regulation, and because other countries, under single-payer systems, have a great deal more buying power (and negotiating power) than exists in the US.

Oh boy, price regulation! Prices have been regulated in the US only temporarily in the past to prevent price gouging in times of emergency

I know how you feel. I dislike AT&T . Seriously charging ridiculous amount of money.

Republicans not only want to pay higher prices. They truly believe in aquiring salmonella, and paying $10 dollars for an apple. If they shop at walmart, you know they love outsourcing and child labor.

If the price is too high, you don't buy it. Obviously if you think your cable bill is too high and you continue to pay for it, then you sir, are not very intellegent.

Repugs only like two things. War, and no taxes for the rich. Don't know bout your cable bill...

Big business owners are undeniably greedy. Republicans seem to think that, if left to their own devices, big businesses would come to some mutual agreement with consumers about prices, and we'd live in a perfect world where everything is fairly priced. Of course, the reality is that if we don't regulate businesses, one business would develop a monopoly over everything *cough* Microsoft *cough* and charge outrageous prices for things people want and/or need.

your cable bill is so high because you feel you deserve all the channels. What makes you feel like you're too good for the $12 basic channels service?

Congress got involved with cable costs some years ago. They screwed it up. SURPRISE!
