Is Ron Paul's racist past indefensible?

Ron Paul:

-Voted against MLK Day in '83 (reversing his '79 'aye' vote in favor of it)
Source:
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h1983-289
(search: Paul, Ronald)

-Voted against Rosa Park's Congressional Medal

-Cited a study claiming 95% of blacks in D.C. are semi-criminal or entirely criminal
Source:
http://www.criticalreactor.com/ronpaul/newsletters/1996_Dallas_Morning_News.html

-Was funded by Don Black and his Stormfront org/website
Source: Reason/WND

-Friends with white nationalist loon Lew Rockwell; also, happily took a photo with Don Black and Black's son. Don Black, the man who once tried to overthrow an entire black government.
Source: Ron Paul's own newsletters list Lew Rockwell as editor for some editions.

-Claimed that Israel/Mossad may have been responsible for the '93 WTC bombing.
Source: Ron Paul newsletter
Etc.

I have to tell you I am a big fan of Paul, but you're right. I'm curious to see who all he had write these letters. Keep in mind, he usually votes "nay" on most of the bills that he comes across but I would still like to hear why he voted against King and Parks. You should cite Parks, I would like to read about it. As far as a lot of the others, where are you finding all this? You're not citing it all. I would like to read more about everything you're stating here.

As far as the newsletters, we already know it's not Paul who wrote those. You've already considered that they can be easily copied and manipulated. But also I have to consider the fact that Paul may have had direct input into the newsletters which is disturbing.

To be completely honest, Herman Cain was in the spotlight for only one month. That's only one month worth of live telivision cameras on his face while listening to what he's had to say. In that one month and with a total of 20,000 video's on youtube, we've heard what could be considered Racist comments about appointing Muslims and electricuting Mexicans along with about 22 other notable gaffes that would easily disqualify a candidate while seeking Presidency. During that one month and 20,000 video's we've gotten a real sense of what his personality is like. **He kept rising in the polls**

Ron Paul has been seen live on TV for over 15 years. 350,000 youtube video's later and how many gaffes do we have? Only one. It all circles around one newsletter that he may or may not have written. He's getting beaten up for it.

Do you want to know what's really going on? I hope you are paying attention.

If Ron Paul becomes the president of the United States, the federal reserve will be threatened. There is no question. Have you researched this?

The Federal Reserve is a chain of 12 banks including Chase and JP Morgan and is the most powerful money machine in the world. It is owned by the richest group of men in the world who also own our media and they use it to influence the vote of the American People.

"A great industrial nation is controlled by it's system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world-- no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men." -- President Woodrow Wilson

The Reason Ron Paul want's to end the fed is because the dollar is going to collapse. That's not going to happen though... I thought until I researched other predictions that Paul has made, most have come true. He's already warned us about the dollar collapse. Just look around you, what do you see happening around the world right now? Our currency is failing us because of the Federal Reserve and the Central Bank.

In 2001, we were attacked. Bush told us it was Bin Laden and the Taliban. But that's not true. Saudi Arabians attacked us, Saudi's who were in contact with the Saudi Royal Family. Ever since our presence in the Middle east, Saudi Royal Family has been able to take control of more and more oil.

Do you know who has invested the most in and owns our Federal Reserve? Aside from England, The Saudi Royal Family. Do you know where the money comes from that they invest? Couldn't be the oil.

That's a good place to start researching.

I hope that Ron Paul is not a racist and based on what I've seen, I can't find any evidence. But I still think he should tell us who wrote those newsletters and why he would vote against the 2 most important civil right activists of the 20th century.

I hope this doesn't make me a PaulTard.

Yes Ron Paul voted against the medal for Rosa Parks because that was going to spend tax payers money on something not related to government.

BUT Ron Paul offered to chip in out of his own wallet for the same medal.

And he asked everyone one else in government to do the same thing.

Ofcourse it is easier for them to spend our money than their own.

And as for MLK day why stop there?

Why not have a Malcolm X day, a Rosa Parks day, a day for native americans, a day for every person who stood up for what is right?

What day would the government not have off?

I read a study before on how property value drops when african americans move in but does that make it right? No. If he cited a report he was stating how the system is unfair to the african americans.

Ron Paul has more financial support from the military men and women than ALL the republicans combined and more than Obama now if Ron Paul is racist that would make the soldiers fools.

Do you think that many soldiers are stupid? I don't.

How great was Obama's reverend? That didn't stop him from winning either.

Don't blame someone for the actions of someone they know.

If you can who trained Osama to get Russia out of Afghanistan? USA.

A Ron Paul presidency means that tens of thousands of African American men will be returning to their families, communities and churches. They can begin working and re-building their lives. That is revolutionary! That is precisely what will happen if Ron Paul is serious about ending the Drug War and pardoning non-violent drug offenders.

A Ron Paul presidency means that the bombs and drone missiles will stop dropping on Arabs, Africans, and Asians.

A Ron Paul presidency means that the Federal government will no longer threaten the interests of gays who want to pursue marriage in their respective states.

No Republican or Democrat (not even Obama) is promising these things; they neutralize the “Ron Paul is a racist” charge, and they expose Obama (and the GOP) for the damage they have allowed the War on Drugs to do to African American communities.

- MLK day. Doesn't constitute racism at all. It's not a holiday. It's a day when you don't go to work. That is all.

- Not racist, or hateful in anyway, once again.

- Using statistics, trying to make progress for the people. Not racist, or hateful.

- Even white nationalists may see the problem with nation building and corporatism I guess. Did the fact that the new black panther party contributed to Obama, or stood outside the polling booths with weapons like thugs constitute the Barack Obama us a racist? I think not.

- I have friends who are one step away from being militant left wing communists, moderate ethnic nationalists (white and black), neoconservative war mongers, Fabian socialists, far right social conservatives, far left social liberals. Does that mean I share their views? No. It means I've known them for a long time, and they are my friends.

- He did not. Anyway, ever heard of the USS Liberty? Ever heard of all the Israeli spy rings? I'm not calling them terrorists, or enemies and I don't support Palestine. They aren't the good friends of ours you may perceive.

Nice copy and paste job. He's been a Dr for 40 years. You act like he's spent his time as a racist and not treating people of all races and colors for free.

Nice try though. I'd research your post if i know for a fact at least one of your comments wasn't a lie...but

"Was funded by Don Black and his Stormfront org/website"

One lie. We can all make **** up, but when someone donates their time to saving thousands of peoples lives of all colors...you can't call him a racist. He's saved black peoples lives.

No, Ron Paul is not a racist.

The status quo is trying to make up lies to discredit him, they know that they will get kicked to the curb after Ron Paul is elected
2011-12-25 04:09:55 UTC
He didn't write it, this is clearly just a sad attempt to smear his name.

He is truly the only one I've heard voice any concern for the children of Iraq(brown kids btw) and all the other kids in other countries we bomb.

What about obama going to a racist church for over 20 years, that cannot be denied but since it's racism against whites I guess its cool right?

Shut your face.

**** you he's awesome. He might be a tad crazy, yes, but he is the only person passionate enough to usurp our current malevolent president from his thrown.
