the Alec Baldwin's, the Nancy Pelosi's and Harry Reids of the world is TOO kind of a word? I mean, it incorrectly gives them a description of "progressiveness", "tolerance", and "reform". What do you suggest we call them instead? These four words do not correctly reflect these people

They do not have any real level of reality, in the real United States, Also it is easy when the result of what you are trying to do can't hurt you because you are too rich.

They should be called "Non-Conservatives". Each are left of center, but to various degrees. Their biggest comonality is opposing the crowd who call themselves "Conservatives".

Liberal is a concept not a movement. The word is mostly used by the right wing as a device to slander anyone who disagrees with them. So I wouldn't say it is 'too kind' of a word for the people you mention. I would say it is too broad of a word to describe the various opinions of this group of people.

Conceited, self centered, & the big "B". They think we actucually care what a bunch of "stars" think politically. They do not know anymore than anyone else does about politics or anything else.

Liberals are an understatement for them, I do not take Republican stars advice either - I am too smart to listen to a singer or actor - so they can read lines, big deal.

You could call them "liberal" but since you have no clue what that term means...

It could be worse. They could be fake compassionate conservatives or fake patriots that flooded America after 9-11-01.

The problem with people like you is that you have no clue what "liberal" means. It's not a dirty word. It's a dead political ideology, much like conservatism is a dead political ideology.

how about "Dividers" ?

as in.."those people are helping to keep the United-States "divided" when our country really needs to be United.

of course Conservatives have no dividers on their side. ha-ha.

good ol' Ann Coulter - now she's a real uniter ! lol.

In fact, M. Moore and A. Coulter are pretty much the same, just different sides of the coin.

"a house divided against itself can not stand"

It never ceases to amaze me that idiots think liberal is an insult in the first place. I like liberties, how about you?

Yeah, the right is tolerant of both middle-class rich people and upper-class rich people! Yay tolerance!

While ordinary people feel that they are equal to anyone, liberals look at the productive people and feel inferior. These feelings of inferiority on the left breeds hatred for all who have accomplishments in our society. It doesn't matter how successful the lib is. The feel/know they are inferior and this makes them hateful.

How about hypocrites?

Although, when I use the term liberal, I am usually using it in an insultive manner. It certainly does not have the meaning it had 20 years ago.

My definition of liberal fits them perfectly.

Liberal- One who changes views to be excepted by would be followers. Bottom feeders scum dwelling parasites that attach themselves to the main vein to drain the decency out of the most good.

Far too nice. "Progressive" just means progressively stupid.

They seem to fall into one of two categories: Lying hypocrites or Hypocritical liars.
