He said it won't happen like the cons fear but they do have serious mental issues. He said the NRA is an assassin lobby and that guns should be treated like antibiotics. He shared how this is applicable because you don't need your antibiotics but every once in a while and you don'tworship penicillin or kiss penicillin tablets although the gun owner idiots do.

First off I know of no one that worships firearms. You are believing the lies the liberal gun control bigots tell you like so many other liberal sheep do. Let me educate you just a little here. In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a firearm, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.

The firearm is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.

Then there's the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.

The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal and easily employable.

The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation, and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Why are you so scared of an inanimate object? You need to do some research and actually see that crime and murders with guns are going down not up. The media wants to throw in suicide rates when talking about gun deaths, yet Japan has a higher rate of suicide, and less then 1% of the guns that the US has. The moral of this post is, you cant take away my right to protect myself and my family. If you tell me that's what cops are for, I will tell you to look up Warren v. District of Columbia. If you took the time to learn more about the situation, you might be more informed, and you wouldn't have to use Bill Maher as a source for your asinine argument.

I haven't heard comrade maher's plan for disarming the criminals. I haven't heard his plan for guaranteeing the safety of Americas streets and home from the criminals who already control so many of them.

As far as I'm concerned, if billy maher says it, it should be ignored completely. Who "worships" guns?

Bill Maher is a libertine so I know not to believe anything he says. A libertine is one devoid of most moral restraints, which are seen as unnecessary or undesirable, especially one who ignores or even spurns accepted morals and forms of behaviour sanctified by the larger society. Libertines place value on physical pleasures, meaning those experienced through the senses. As a philosophy, libertinism gained new-found adherents in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, particularly in France and Great Britain.

Where is Bill Maher's plan to remove guns from black and latino inner city gangs who are committing most of the murders.

Liberals won't even admit where the real problem is.

They would rather harrass law abiding citizens.

Sounds reasonable. Gun nuts are certainly mental. He's right, too, that gun nuts will not allow rational use of guns.

GUNS give hate-filled right wingers a reason to live. GUNS are that perfect antidote for short winkies.
