Question:
Why did Trump question the citizenship of Kamala Harris and Barack Obama, both born in America, but not McCain or Cruz, both not born here?

It’s like he only questions non-white candidates citizenship. What’s with that?

Because race and white supremacy matters.  It is why Trump won in 2016 and why he will win in November.

He didn't question her citizenship.  He alluded to an op-ed in Newsweek which claimed she might not be eligible.  Here are his exact words:

“I heard it today that [Harris] doesn’t meet the requirements [for citizenship]... And, by the way, the lawyer that wrote that [Newsweek] piece is a very highly qualified, very talented lawyer. I have no idea if that’s right. I would have assumed the Democrats would have checked that out.”He's just throwing some shade.  It's amusing how deranged you lefties get over it.BTW, Trump did question Cruz's citizenship during the 2016 primaries.  So, you're already materially factually wrong.  As for McCain, he was born in a US military hospital on a US military base to 2 US citizens.  For the uninformed, US military bases are considered US territory.

Neither of Kamala's parents were born here. The reason Cruz and McCain were elligible is that BOTH of BOTH of their [parents were.

Trump questioned whether Obama was born in USA. Until the Birth Cert cvame out.

Obama won his first three races in Illinois by having his opponent disqualified. So you can't blame Trump for Trying, unless you are a hypocrite.

It is not like we did not have good reason to think maybe Obama was born elsewhere/. His grandmother said he was born in Kenya. The about the author of his law review said he was born in kenya. So do us all a favor and Go ************.

President Trump did not question Kamala Harris's citizenship.

He was asked a question and he said he thought the Democrats would have already checked.

He did question Cruz's citizenship (see below) and even suggested that his father was somehow involved in the Kennedy assassination.  He wasn't running against McCain.

The man's a compulsive liar and a fabulist when it suits him. No one should believe a word he says, including "and" and "the".

With apologies to Mary McCarthy, for borrowing her words about Lillian Hellman.

Edit: the Newsweek editorial (which I have read and which has been withdrawn) did NOT suggest she might not be eligible.  It merely pointed out, as many have, that the Constitution does not define the term "natural born citizen". And since you may be sure that Trump did not read the Newsweek piece and didn't grasp its point, he definitely DID refer to it as a way of suggesting that Harris might not be eligible, just as he did with Ted Cruz.  Little Donnie deals often in suggestion and innuendo when he's not in possession of any facts. It's how a demagogue operates, especially when he knows his followers don't read any more than he does.

Try not to be as dense as Trump.  He's not questioning their citizenship because of their skin color, he's questioning their citizenship because they are democrats.  His "questioning" reflects his lack of understanding of law.

Trump always tries to deflect. His father said Donald was born in Sweden.
