Is there a good alternative to the ACLU without such an obvious liberal bias?

Question

For a long time I have been tempted to join because of the patriot act and all the other assaults on our freedoms by the US government, but I absolutely HATE the ACLU's support of illegal immigrants, their "neutrality" on gun control and their support of affirmative action.
Is there an alternative organization you'd recommend? The Libertarian Party seems like such a waste of time or I'd start there, but I do consider myself a Libertarian.

Also, FYI, the 2nd Amendment has been under attack for decades. In the 3-1/2 years of Obama, our Constitutional rights have been violated for 8 of the first 10 Amendments, including the 2nd. NDAA violates, by itself, something like 5 or 6 Constitutional Amendments including 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th. As for the first and 2nd, look up Executive Order 13563.



Here is my take. Don't give money to any of these scam organizations like the ACLU. Show support for issues by voting for people who uphold the Constitution.

the answer is no there isn't. Cons don't care about civil rights. Let alone care enough to put any time or money into it.



The ACLU doesn't bother with gun rights, because there is a wealthy lobby that does nothing but fret about this and try to get Republicans elected. The fact that they sold out their members to endorse only Republicans doesn't mean the ACLU should start wasting money on this, when gun rights have only expanded in the last two decades. Gun rights simply aren't under attack. It'd be like the SPCA worrying about there not being enough kittens to go around.
