Bush has acomlished nothing good really, infact made things worsse around the world, for a person who did not know who the president of Indian was few years back its not really supirsing how Bush's foregin policy is (lol)., what ever Bush has done in the USA, any president can do really, but what makes ur a great leader is how u approach other people of different countries, and ur example is now at the present time in Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, and many more who dont like America for interfering & ruining their life, even if before America's involvement with countries the countries were corrupt its none of anyon'e business, interfering just makes it worse as we all can see now, let other people take care of their own, its much better that way, history has proved that, even if there r wars in other countries then let them sort it out, thats how u progress, not by another nation sorting it out for them, Gosh lol.

Iraq is a mess, but to rate him let's take Iraq out of the equation for a moment. Anti Iraq people will hate him blindly and not be able to see anything else. We do have a good economy and unemployment is low. Domestically there have been a lot worse President's. I'll be glad to see him go because I don't believe we can heal as a nation until then.

Even if we are still there the next President will not be blamed for Iraq. Without Iraq he was mediocre.

History will prove that he did, or certainly tried to do, things that were best for our nation. The economy is at a all time high, with the lowest unemployment since post world war two. His position on Iraq will certainly be proven to be correct, and even more so, if the demos. force the troops home. Taxes haven't increased and our security although not close to being what it should be is better than before his taking office. If he gets his way on amnesty it will not make me happy, but the demos. want to give it too. It is a shame that we are losing our country to foreigners slowly but surely. In four generations the whites will be minorities, and the Mexican/Hispanic will be the majority. Even the black Americans will be hurt as they will lose some of what they have gained to the new order of Mexican dominance. Bush needs to send them back, build a fence and protect our boarders to ensure our country's strong future; especially our culture and language.

contrary to the media popular belief not everyone hates G.W. the ones who hates G.W. are the democrat party, the news media, and those who don't pay attention to what is going on in politics. G.W. has done quite a bit for the country, lowered taxes, disrupted the terrorist attacks if not stopped them all together. think about we have not had and attack on us since 9/11. yet during the Clinton admin. there was three to five attacks (the 93 attack on the world trade center, the cobalt tower, the marine barracks, the USS Cole, and others.) instead of being of doing something about it Clinton ran away from it and had someone sweep it under the rug so he didn't have to deal with it. Reagan had two attacks one over Scotland and a high jacking. Reagan went after the ones who was behind the bombing of the plane that was blew up over Scotland; by bombing Omar Qaddafi . Carter had one with the taking of the embassy in Iran. Carter wanted to talk them to death. they were held for over two years. they weren't released until a matter of minuets before Reagan took office. is G.W. hated yes but only because; he is doing something that Clinton refused to do. Clinton handed him a recession when he left office. now there is more money that goes into the treasury due to the tax cuts yet the democrats want you to think other wise.

Upgraded airport security is hardly a good indicator of improved overall security for a country. Bush has "accomplished exactly what he set out to do in the very beginning. He invaded two countries and started a perpetual war without end with no distinct enemy, just a generic group of enemies known as "terrorists". He has usurped virtually all the power out of the hands of Congress and the Supreme court and consolidated it into the Executive Branch and the Pentagon. He has betrayed the citizens of the US with his Patriot Act which basically gives him free reign to eavesdrop on whomever he chooses with no prior notice or justification. He has lied to us all virtually every time he has opened his mouth in public.

The list goes on and on, but I don't want to. If you want a more extensive list of his "accomplishments" I suggest you go to www.Alternet.org and browse any number og articles written about him and his cronies and all the abuses of power they have gotten away with in the name of "democracy" and "secutity", both terms used very loosely by them...

He hasn't died and let Cheney take over....

Seriously though, he undied most of Clinton's mistakes i.e. Before Clinton two fighter jets could be anywhere in the US in two minutes (How long did it take jets to get to 9/11? Why did Clinton shutdown air force bases? He said it was because they weren't cost effective) Bush brought back the air marshals (Clinton said that there hadn't been an airplane hijacking in so long that there weren't needed... To bad he didn't think that maybe people know there were air marshals on the planes...) Bush has allowed subs to retaliate when fired upon (Clinton required direct approve from him... meaning a sub would have to surface and send a msg while being shot at and then maybe fire back.) Bush scraped Clintons doctrine of accepting the first strike as a matter of peace (USS Cole).

The good he's done goes on and on. BUT I still don't like the guy.

That is like saying everyone hates their parents when they are teenagers. Most parents, like Bush, do all the hard things that teenagers, like most Americans, don't understand. Parents provide safety, food, a place to live, an education etc. for their kids. Teenagers don't get it until they are older how much their parents had to bust their butts to provide for them.

Bush is the same way...has America been attacked on US soil since 2001? NO

How is the current economy? Very Good!!!!especially after the slight recession at the end of Clinton's term. Except for gas prices, what other economic issue is there to complain about today?

How are taxes? Lower

How much is being spent on education? More than any time in our history...

Bush has had to make HARD decisions that most people don't get, so they complain about it. I guess people prefer to love a president that cheats on his wife, plays the saxaphone, accomplishes nothing and rides the wave of hard work of his predecessors. If that is the case, I choose to hate Bush, but I thank God he's here.
2007-05-11 10:28:05 UTC
Some of you think your economy is hot, well you better take off your blinkers and refocus as things will only worsen in the United States. Your government under GW Bush is going in debt at the tune of 1.5 to 2 billion perday. If you think the economy is getting better in the United States then you are as delusional as George Walker Bush is and that is pretty sad.

Well lets see, we had tax cuts that benefited the working class. Oh and not everyone hates him, some people don't listen to the bs that comes out of the Liberal left. He actually struck back against terrorism, something the Dems in the 90s didn't believe in. Oh and he toppled a murderous butcher in Iraq. Something I think we last did in 1945.

(salutes to the Bush Bashers that can admit the TRUTH in spite of their inti-Bush feelings ((that takes courage)) ) + He made sure that the justice department said the 2nd Amendment is an individual right!! Let us never forget how important that is(2nd Amendment guarantees bill of rights!!!)

very good question.

I want to meet these people who have lower taxes and intrest rates ... because if you just look at the numbers they are both up over the last 8 years

and the terror thing confuses me to ... we lived in a safer country before Bush took over ... thats just a fact

not least of which ... is he will always be the president who began to rob us of our privacy

what good did he do - he showed us that the Christian right wing conservatives can't be trusted to make healthy decisions for our country ... and that we need to find a moderate that will do a better job of putting OUR COUNTRY ahead of personal, religious, or party views

an we are part of the problem too .. only 40% of the population voted last time ... we should be ashamed

I don't know where to look for this but the stock market has hit new record highs like 10 times while he has been president. That is impressive if you consider during his two terms we had two horrible shocks to our economy (9/11 and Katrina)

not to mention the drag on our economy that the high gas prices have.

We are in an unpopular war but it was VERY popular when it started.

He did cut taxes on ALL Americans that pay taxes. It never gets reported that way but it is the case.

Security hasnt improved under Bush, the borders and ports are still as unsafe as ever. Any terrorist with a suitcase nuke could stroll right across the border without so much as a second glance as long as his skin wasnt brown. The only thing Bush has accomplished during his term is getting the House and Senate back under Democratic control due to his ineptness as commander in chief.

No man is a complete failure - He can always be used as a bad example.

bush = The Great Divider.

best Bad example of an American President ever.

If you were President would you have improved security at airports after 9-11 ? Of course you would have !

Any one would have done that, it's so obvious.

bush did many obvious things that any person would have done, nothing special about that.

It's some of his other choices that he will be judged by.
2007-05-11 10:10:20 UTC
Serious reduction of taxes. I won't bore you with all of the reasons why this was a good thing (heck, it's ALWAYS a good thing) but you might want to check out current and past Treasury Department revenues versus projections to see that by lowering taxes a sh!tload of cash has POURED into the Treasury.

Now, I know this is counter-intuitive for left-wingers so I just offer this bit of advice - look at the numbers, not the story behind the numbers, and judge for yourself whether or not our federal government really needs the money that members of the Democrat Party claim it does (oops, I meant "they do"!).

He made us look at ourselves, to see what kind of people we are, and where our values are.

If you don't think that is true, then try to envision the kind of country and world would have resulted if Willie Wonka Clinton and his gang had remained in power. Try to see Willie and his gang squirming under the pressure of 9-11

Forget the American Press, most are of the same caliber as Willie so you can expect them to think and report the way they do. Most are still trying to perpetuate themselves by tearing down anything that is their opposite.

he has had plenty of accomplishments

- started a war of his own agenda (based on lies)

- doubled the national debt with his borrow and spend mentality.

-set at least 5 records for deficits

- set records for vacations taken by a President

- had the worst attack on American soil under his watch

- had the most inditements of any Administration

- presided over record forclusres

- health care costs doubled under his watch

- college tuition doubled under his watch

- divided the nation more than ever in history

- saw more foreing debt than ever before in the history of this country.

this list could go on and on, so don't say GWB doesn't have any accomplishments.

He made the world laugh (at us.)

He showed that in America anyone can become president -even the unelected.

He proved that the dumb can speak.

truth be told
2007-05-11 10:42:44 UTC
Hmmm....let's take a look at the "good" things Bush has done...

1) Lowest tax rates and cuts in nearly 20 years.

Reality - he foolishly turned a budget surplus into the largest budget deficit and national debt in history

2) Lowest interest rates in 50 years.

Allowed housing bubble to spiral out-of-control, resulting in record foreclosures and a collapsing housing market. In the 50 years before Bush, the NATIONAL housing market never dropped. Local markets would have setbacks, but nationally the market always improved. Now, the national market is in decline.

3) Stronger military.

The military is in it's worst shape ever. The army has had to LOWER it's standards to allow criminals just to have recruits. Our national guard is being depleted. Tours of duty just got extended. Not a single general will tell you our military is in good shape right now.

4) Restored decency to the White House.

Considered by many historians to be the most incompetent White House ever. Gonzales is under pressure to resign. Libby is in jail. Bush lied to America about Iraq's nuclear threat to rush us into war. Nothing decent about it. Oh, but he didn't have extra-marital sex (that we know of). Woo-hoo.

5) ZERO tolerance for terrorism unlike the libs who befriend them.

Iran is moving forward on building a nuclear bomb. What is Bush doing? Nothing. North Korea now HAS a nuclear bomb. Why? Because Bush did nothing. Al Queda nearly took control of Somalia. What did Bush do to stop them? Nothing. There is PLENTY of tolerance for terrorism with this administration.

6) Destroyed much of the infrastructure of the al Quaeda network.

Um...Al Queda never had much "infrastructure". Terrorism experts agree Al Queda's operatoins are now more widespread and difficult to track than ever. This is not Bush's fault, per se, as improving technology makes it easier for Al Queda to elude authorities. But it is false to pretend Bush has somehow dealt a crippling blow to their infrastructure.

7) Highest Dow Jones Industrial in US history.

The Dow also hit record highs under Clinton. And Bush Sr. and Reagan. Ho-hum. Returns on stocks are FAR below what they were during the Clinton years. And the Nasdaq is currently sitting 50% below it's highs.

8) Thriving economy.

Wages are stagnent. But workers now pay MUCH more for gas, electricity and health care. Corporate profits are at record highs, but companies aren't sharing those profits with their workers. We've basically seen the pauperizing of the middle class under Bush.

9) Raised military wages higher than ever before.

Military wages climb under every president. Why? Because the cost of living is constantly climbing. This is like when GOP-doofuses say "More Americans own homes than ever before" as proof Bush is somehow a good president. It's a meaningless stat, of course, because there are now millions more Americans now than ever before, but hey, when trying to prove Bush is a good president, meaningless stats are really about all you have to point to....

In short, Bush blows...

Interest rates are low. Employment is high, home ownership is at an all-time high. Domestic growth is up. The Dow just hit a new historical record. Here is what Bush has accomplished, just to name a few:

1) Lowest tax rates and cuts in nearly 25 years.

2) Lowest interest rates in 50 years.

3) Stronger military.

4) Restored decency to the White House.

5) ZERO tolerance for terrorism unlike the libs who befriend them.

6) Destroyed much of the infrastructure of the al Quaeda network.

7) Highest Dow Jones Industrial in US history.

8) Thriving economy.

9) Raised military wages higher than ever before.

10) Hired more conservative, pro-life, Supreme Court justices.

11) Lowest unemployment rates in 20 years.

12) Takes a stand against gay marriage.

13) Eliminated the heinous partial birth abortion procedure.

14) Brought down the corrupt Baath Party and their dictator.

15) Provided freedom and a better life to the Iraqi people.

16) Reduced self employment taxes.

17) Lowest mortgage rates since WWII.

18) Distanced America from the tentacles of the UN.

19) Mopped up the many messes left over from the Clinton administration.

20) Took responsibility for the war against Osama bin Laden even though Clinton overlooked the many threats.

21) Brought terrorists to justice including those responsible for the attacks against the USS Cole. (Oh, remember that one LIBTARDS?)
