Of course his approval numbers are in the crapper. Mueller’s (not Barr’s) report laid bare what a corrupt thug he is. Mueller has noted TEN different instances of obstruction of justice he is leaving for Congress to deal with. The report describes egregious conduct at every level and a systematic abuse of power. His 30%ers are the only idiots trying to defend him.

Many Republicans already knew what should have been in the Mueller Report and are amazed by what Mueller et al "forgot" to include.



Is Mifsud really a Russian agent? I think not. Why is he in hiding in a place used for western spies, I wonder?



Did Mueller forget to mention that the Russian lawyer who was at the Trump Tower meeting met with Fusion-GPS both before and after the meeting? Was she under their control and being briefed and debriefed?



In fact, was Fusion-GPS mentioned by Mueller at all? Wasn't their report somewhat pivotal?



Did he also forget to mention that Veselnitskaya was not allowed in to the US. She needed a special visa from the Obama government to be allowed in. I wonder how she got that?



Did Mueller really need to bolster one of his stories by referring to a media article that backed him up? Did he forget to mention that the article followed a leak from the Special Counsel team so, basically, he provided his own evidence to back himself up. You can't make this stuff up.



In short, I think I know enough about the Mueller Report to see it for what it is: an attempt to smear Trump rather than a detailed report of the facts.

Unity has always been very important in the Republican Party. They always vote along party lines. They always spout the same talking points on interview shows. They know they are the minority party in the US in terms of voter registrations, so they have to stick together to win. When Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House he threatened any Republican congressman who didn't vote as he was told with losing his committee assignments (and that's how Republicans make their re-election money!)



So far the only Republicans who've had the courage to denounce Trump where those not running for re-election. Even the Never-Trumpers fell in line when the party leaders picked Trump to line up behind.
