Question:
Why do liberals say insurance companies are lying when they tell people their policies are cancelled?

"Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, a Texas Democrat, told National Review Online today that instead of sending out cancellation letters, insurance companies should have told their customers that their coverage was about to get better.

She said she wrote an amendment before the president’s announcement that would require insurance companies to “tell the truth.”

“The cancellation notice was not the truth,” she says. “It should have been: ’We intend to or expect to modify your insurance.’”

Before these individual policy holders get their knickers in a twist, they should stay calm, and go to an exchange, or wait for the website. If they would just read the old policies, they would see that there is better policies out there. More bankruptcies are caused by some lengthy illness or accident, that's when they find out they are not as well covered as they thought when they receive an enormous hospital bill they cannot pay.

The republicans have no interest in fixing a broken health care system. They haven't read the bill nor are they interested in doing so. They have lied, and twisted the truth or they go into the future, and predict the worst possible scenario, and when you hear this crap over, and over, you become polarized, and you eyes glaze over, and you begin to think "maybe their right". That is polarization, and your brain locks on to it. Never mind whose President, pay attention to the possibilities. No more are pre-existing conditions, a factor whether or not you got health care in the past, screenings paid for, birth control, No more life time caps where, before you lost insurance because of it. Keep kids on your policy until age 26, the insurance companies must spend 80% on health care, and 20% for overhead, and bonuses, and if it's over, they must refund or carry over the deduction to the premium, and shrinking the dough nut hole to zero by 2020 for seniors. These are great benefits, why don't the republicans want folks to have healthcare? Is it because they are in insurance companies "back pocket"? Many just let vitriol over take sensible thinking.

So many lies were circulated about social security, & medicare, and people who are enjoying these benefits don't want them changed or touched, yet the republicans campaigned, vehemently, against them, and they both had really rough starts, as the medicare part D website when it started, and because it was passed by the republicans, they voiced to all, "be patient, something this big will have snags, and problems". Saw many on video in Congress speaking of this, yet not for healthcare. Very sad for the majority of the American people.

Sensible brain function is difficult for some.

My brother works for a HUGE corporation and they did cancel his insurance along with everyone else's, BUT they gave them another policy through a different insurer called Aetna I think. And it SUCKSS compared to his previous policy. Like you have to pay the entire doctor visit and half the days you are in the hospital or half of 1 day you are in the hospital. Only thing good is prescriptions.

Cancelled means the contract between the individual and the company no longer exists.

They're covering for Obama and themselves. At least five million people have had their policies canceled, does that actually represent better to Sheila Jackson?

Her and Maxine Watters are two of the most Radical socialists known only for their devotion to Socialism and bringing home the bacon to their districts, They want to own all company's oil, banks, drugs, and firearms, and they want the taxpayer to pay for it. They have become very wealthy in their own right. And want to pretend not to be racist. The fact is liberals lie. Big liberal...big lies.

It appears that some plans that were "cancelled due to obamacare" did not have to be. California is just one state looking into the cancellations.

This is coming from Shiela Jackson Lee, the same woman who was angry that we didn't have "Black" Hurricane Names and who wanted to nationalize every oil company. She is honestly the dictionary definition of "libtard"

I don't believe anything out of the mouth of Sheila J. Lee.

She loves Obama like Chris Matthews does. He can do

no wrong in their eyes.

Please post a link, so we can read the ENTIRE thing and not just the out of context snippets you claim she said. Then we can better explain to you what you don't understand.

Why don't you listen to what the woman ACTUALLY said before you come on here and rant about it? Could it be because of you were honest about what she said then you would not have anything to ***** about? Say it ain't so!
