Question:
If it can be proven that Israel committed war crimes and targeted civilians, should we cut off aid to them?

They evacuated women and children into a "safe house" and bombed it
http://www.france24.com/en/20090109-israeli-forces-bomb-gaza-safe-house-survivors-say

They have been using weaponized White Phospherous, first denying it then acknowledging it
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/meast/01/12/white.phosphorus/

Dime Bombs which cause wounds that are impossible to operate on because it emits particle sized tungston
http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/world-news/dime-bombs-leave-israels-victims-with-mystery-wounds-14145665.html

They bombed the UN
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/outrage-as-israel-bombs-un-1380407.html

Now, does that sound like selectively going after terrorists, or using it as an excuse to commit genocide?

Yes, although I would doubt it would happen.

During the Six Day War, the Israeli Air Force attacked a US Navy survey ship, the USS Liberty in international waters. The Israelis said they thought it was an Eygptian cargo vessel, even though that vessel was half the size of Liberty and the Liberty clearly flew the Stars and Stripes.

So, if they kill 34 US Navy sailors and injure over 140 and still get aid from America, then it follows they will continue to do so.

I think in order to commit war crimes in Gaza, you have to be there. Israel is not in Gaza. They are aiming at militants blatantly attacking Israeli civillians. Obviously, there have been some civillian casualties on the side of the Gazans too. Why would Israel want to be bothered with Gaza if there wasn't a good reason? Would Israel really put their soldiers in danger for the sole purpose of hurting the Gazan people? The same country that started a war after a 2 soldiers were kidnapped? I think not.

We should cut aid off to anyone who doesn't need it and abuses our trust. If Israel has committed war crimes or any other crimes, I am sure the groups bringing support aid to that region would report it. Amnesty International is not a Israeli puppet as far as I know. Israel is not the next best military to the military of the United States, personally I would rather take Turkey if the choice is to choose one in that part of the world.

If you could prove that they were intentionally going after civilians, then that would make their military potentially the most incompetent on the face of the planet. Over 3 weeks of fighting against terrorists hiding among the population, tanks, jets, helicopters, thousands of troops.....and fewer than 200 civilian dead in the process? There is no way that any reasonable person could ever be expected to believe that there is any military in the world that sucks that much.

No israel has the same rights as america to fight against terrosim

Yes, it's a shame what some politicians will do to win an election. Livni's father killed a bunch of people in the King David Hotel in 1946. Bad blood.

I for one am in favor of that old saying, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

Or have you forgotten they took bombs for us without retaliating?

Or that the first thing Hamas did when the truce was signed was open up the tunnels for arms smuggling right on their TVs.

Is it really any wonder Israel pays no attention anymore to a world that doesn't care if it ceases to exist tomorrow?

Why would they?

And all because the hamas would not stop with the rockets.

Already the hamas has set off another bomb and killed an Israeli. Well, they said if that happened, they would strike back, and they did. So now you can scream about how bad Israel is for that..

Just how stupid can you be?

Who cares? The notion of "war crimes" is laughable. War is a crime, period. There is no "good" war, there is no "clean" war, and there sure as hell is no such thing as a war without civilian deaths. If you don't want civilians dying, then don't have war. But as I see it, since we've had wars since the dawn of man, I'm pretty sure civilians will keep dying.

Even though that would be a good idea, it wouldn't be logical. The only reason being is that we need one strong ally in the Mideast region. I don't know if the US can or will do anything about it, but it should be considered by the new administration if they truly mean and believe in change as they promised.

Hamas brags of atrocities far worse than what you've falsely accused Israel of here, and you expect us to sympathize with them?

What's wrong with your heart, why would you side with psychopaths against a country that's trying to defend itself from being attacked at it's schools and marketplaces?

The reason we're supporting Israel is because we are fattening them up for when the Rapture comes.

When Jesus Christ comes, they either convert or DIE.

We should, but it will never happen. A recent poll in congress found that only 5 out of 435 members of the House would support sanctions against Israel.

Sorry to tell you, but Israel doesn't need the U.S. to take care of them.

They have an army that is second only to our own, and they are more than capable of fending for themselves.

Oh, great, another anti-Semite with its vicious lies. The Israelis were defending themslelves and I'm not really interested in listening to the rants of creeps who ignore that and spread lies such as the patently false claim that they engaged in "genocide."

We should expand our aid to them. They are the only people left with any guts and are willing to pay with their lives for what is right.

(The way this country was when it was Great.....a long time ago.)

We should cut off aid to them regardless. We need all our money right here!

We should have refrained from aiding them after they conducted apartheid on the Palestinians, in the first place.
