if they were there 31days a month for 2 moths then thats 62 days,

thats 1488 hours if they lived in the park 24/7

40hours plus 128 hours per week overtime

$320+$1536=$1856week

so $14484 for the 2 months, at 8bucks per hour

or $2,560 if they did 40 hour work weeks 8 weeks. at 8bucks an hour

news says they get $8-22 per hour so some people made out

Assuming that each had an apartment and only one roommate, they'd each be about $3000 poorer by now, considering that minimum wage comes nowhere close to covering the minimal costs of living. I've been there, I know.

By camping out in tents they've at least broken even financially.

The more relevant issue though is that they've actually already made a huge success - the discussion in the media is now shifting towards the issues they have brought up, such as the growing inequality between the poor and the rich. More people are becoming aware of and thinking about these issues. In less than 2 months, OWS has already made an accomplishment that nobody else has made in decades of trying to do so.

This movement is huge, and is gaining a lot of attention. Disagree with the message that OWS is trying to make all you want, but it's much more than just a waste of time.

Only on the ultra-right fascist end of the spectrum, where degenerate scum bags like Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, the Koch brothers, and other filth reside are political movements about money and profits, which is the only reason anyone knows the name of those skid-mark-leaving, subcretinous schmucks and liars.

This fight is about principles like right and wrong.

And the fascist right is ALWAYS wrong and always corrupt.

That's reality. Get used to it.

They are protesting corporate influence on government. Try to keep up.

Probably not enough to live off of.

You just reenforced the point the OWSers are trying to make.
