Question:
Isn't it kind of cool seeing all the bankrupted social programs the libs thought could be funded by perpetual?

thank the Lord I don't rely on any of them....

Medicare, bankrupt by 2016 (or sooner)

Medicaid (bankrupt in some states now, completle federal default by 2023)

Social Security (already running in the red, but this Ponzi scheme is set to implode no later than 2017 or sooner if they raid it for Health Care (like they are already doing to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rates to hospitals)

Hospitals didn't agree as the administration would lead you to believe, they were told, you will take less or you will not get any Federal coverage for uninsured or federally insured patients

(Extortion by market share control -- over half of all patients now in many hospitals are Medicare and Medicaid patients,,,,could your business suffer a 50 reduction in revenue and survive?).....

Even Roosvelt and Johnson knew this day would come, which is why they didn't stand for re-election after their programs halted growth and stunted recovery..... yes they were a temporary solution to how to address poverty and illness, but they enslaved several generations to acceptance of whatever the government could afford them, and didn't incentivize personal responsibility achievement or effort, but just the opposite

If you were reckless, careless, helpless or hapless, you never had to suffer the effects, so nobody ever learned -- until Congress finally had the votes, and the balls to limit entitlement

and expect effort for income, progress toward independence for years of sustaining support thru housing, nutritional programs, income for single moms, (yeah we all know the dad's are out there reaping the benefits without paying child support -- why do you think they call the 3rd of the month Mother's Day -- it's the only day you see the Baby's daddies--

come to get a little --and a little cash to boot...

It's high time we look at how we "help" the unfortunate ones who want it all, but can't wait until they can support it....

they won't be paid for. Medicaid, Medicare and Social risk-free practices (40% of the national funds) ought to be thoroughly overhauled because of the fact they're unsustainable of their contemporary shape. subject is, infant Boomers and different retirees are coming to place self assurance in those courses and easily carry the fee tag to any federal politicians' election or re-election, so the themes are actually not being addressed because of the fact those politicians do not choose to anger this base.

It would be worth it if they'd only learn. But they won't.

And Arnold isn't a real Republican, and he certainly isn't in charge of anything out here. The environmentalists and unions run California and have for many years.

Not that I'm that fond of Republicans. They're almost as bad as Democrats.

Sigh.

I live in Illinois, so it is kind of sad really. I feel bad for the people who are truly mentally and physically in need of assistance that will lose it. I also feel bad for the tens of thousands of children in foster care that are losing their counseling services, because they are innocent. They were born to parent who were unwilling and unable to take care of them, now the state is 10 billion short, so the funding for the foster care system is cut in half.

Good grief, do you people understand sarcasm at all?!!

We need more social programs until everybody is on line for a welfare check. Soak those rich SBs and give it all to the poor, won't that be a wonderful. I can hardly wait.

LOL, you could not be more wrong. The lack of funds for social programs has been caused by the Bush Depression. Depressions and 15% real un and underemployment reduces tax revenues.

All credit for our economic disaster goes to the neocons.

It would sort of be more cool if I weren't forced into paying into them in full knowledge of getting nothing out. Socialist Security and Medicare Ponzi schemes are anything but cool. If I had my way, FDR would have a bigger sentence than Madoff.

What's cool is the temperature. We may never have a real Summer. So much for "global warming."

You obviously don't know about Proposition 13. Anti-tax laws caused this problem, not liberalism.

It's quite nice of you to prove the sadistic nature of Conservatives. No, I don't think it's "cool" to see verterans, the disabled or anyone else who can't fully provide for themselves because of mental or physical issues having to suffer. Now you know why people will never vote for your party other than like-minded sadists such as yourself.

Everybody uses social programs to some extent and anyone who says they do not is a liar.

Recession is COOL?

that would go a long way towards explaining the link between Republicans and Recessions...

no and its not true. conservatives have done everything they can to undermine the success of those programs similar to the way in which they are trying to sabotage Obama's presidency by destroying the country.
