Saturday, President Obama said a very well written eulogy at the Kennedy funeral.

BHO's political mentor, William 'Bill' Ayers wrote a book in which he dedicated it to Sirhan Sirhan, the assassin of Robert Kennedy.

Please comment on this irony.

Great observation!

You get a star!

I also found it Ironic that Bobby made a career going after the mob, the same type of behavior his dad Joe (the Bootlegger) did to get rich. Hmmm.

OMG! Some guy who who sat on a board of a community organization BO wrote a book 35 years ago who he dedicated to a couple hundred people, Sirhan Sirhan included.

This is really - not News. Prairie Fire was written 35 years ago, at the peak of the who hippy movement by Billy Ayers, who at the time was a Radical Anti War Activist.

Ayers and Obama worked together, in no way is Obama accountable for Ayers ideology and actions.

It would be ironic if President Obama had dedicated his own book to Sirhan Sirhan, but he didn't. The mentoring relationship you cite is weak, and even if you could establish it, you can't assign all the sins of a person to all those people he has "mentored".

If you are looking for irony, I think the idea of a common man of the people and a community organizer having to seek out the playground of the wealthy (Martha's Vineyard) as the only place he can find for peace and relaxation provides fertile ground for irony.

Second irony was Bill Clinton delivering the eulogy for Richard Nixon.

Ayers was a garden variety radical. He probably thought he was making some statement against "The Man." All he ever did was blow up a statue and a washroom. A couple of his cohorts blew themselves up trying to make another bomb - not for killing people, just making a statement.

That wasn't Ayers' fault - that was Darwinism at work.

People change.

I've got one for you - this same snake oil salesman who gave that eulogy at Kennedy's funeral was the one who, before the campaign, said ON CAMERA that Kennedy had gotten soft, couldn't stand up to the Republicans anymore, and was an old man who should just get out of the way. Later, when he wanted Kennedy's endorsement, he denied that he ever said that. I wonder who wrote the eulogy for him?

the only "irony" is the irrational lengths some people will go to, in order to fabricate a "connection".

Ayers was not Obama's political mentor.

Palin seems to be mentor to millions of Americans... in how to come up with incredible and illogical stupidity.

You're a liar. Bill Ayers was never Barack Obama's political mentor.

If anything, his mentors were Emil Jones, President of the Illinois State Senate, and... Ted Kennedy.

That's enough reason for you to hate President Obama. You don't have to make crap up besides.

And while I don't know much about Senator Jones, I know plenty about Senator Kennedy, and the only bad thing I can say about him is that he was a Red Sox fan. (I'm sure he'd laugh at that.)

Where's the "irony"? Barrack Obama is NOT William Ayers! He doesn't associate with William Ayers.

In what ways did Ayers mentor Obama? Not very many!

Well if Obama was planning on assassinating Ted Kennedy, he missed the boat.

I don't know all the facts. And, I didn't think Ayers was more than someone he knew.
